Ponokamita

$225.00Price

Ponokamita is an American Indian term, generally credited to the Plains tribes that means “elk dog”.

The term signified the horses roll within the tribes as a vital tool for survival, transportation and spiritual connection.  This impressionistic rendering uses the natural colors found on many horses that roam the open American Plains to this day.  Perhaps its attention is held by the rustling of oats in a feed bucket, or a companion in an adjacent field.  For any true horse lover, you can probably smell this image in your mind.  A great addition to any country style home, Ponokamita brings the love of horses into the home as a symbol of the connection humans have with this beautiful animal.
