Spring Runoff

Unless you have bathed in or had a tall glass of clean mountain-filtered spring runoff water, it is very difficult to understand how cold it really is.  This image impressionistically gives the viewer a calm and soothing view of a river who's banks swell with cold, refreshing water as the summer temperatures begin to warm.  Look closely and you may see a large Brook Trout, or even Salmon lazily swim against the current looking for their next meal.  You can see why the Northwest’s mountain streams and rivers are filled with anglers from all over the world during the spring’s runoff.  This impressionistic, minimalistic piece is poised to fit perfectly in any mountain cabin, rustic man-land or outfitters office.
